Perlin Studios is a media and design studio focused on the creation of experiential and traditional media for space. The studio has created work for film, installation, architecture and urban design projects. Through its interactive and media design work, Perlin Studios, led by it’s principal Daniel Perlin, has collaborated with diverse clients such as Acconci Studios, IBM, Weiden + Kennedy, ESPN, Maya Lin Studios, The Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, Showtime, Moleskine, Chase Manhattan Bank, Verizon, The Center for Hearing and Communication, The Veteran’s Hospitals of America, Local Projects, dj/ rupture and others.
Offering a wide range of services–5.1 surround sound sound design and mixing, Usability Experience design, Interactive Development and Strategic Planning– the studio functions as a collaborative nexus between media, strategy and design. It’s work has been featured in MOMA P.S.1, The New Museum, The Storefront for Art and Architecture, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Postmaster’s Gallery, (all New York City), TN Probe (Tokyo), Yautepec Gallery (Mexico City), Temporary Contemporary Gallery (London) and the Centre Pompidou (Paris) and in such films as Kelly Reichardt’s Old Joy, Errol Morris’s Fog Of War, Phil Morrison’s Junebug and Todd Solondz’s Palindromes. The studio, located in Downtown Brooklyn, NY, is a full service space for the design, creation and exploration of traditional and digital media.
